My Review of the Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide (BBG)

Are you considering buying the Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide? Well you really shouldn’t. Because I’ve done it for you, and what I discovered about the program is going to disappoint you.

I live in Miami, Florida and as such, constantly struggle with the body issues thanks to the hot 20 – some things running around in skimpy outfits. I used to be one of them, but the working life took its toll on me. Recently, after a high school reunion, I decided that I wasn’t going to be like the other mothers. I was going to work myself into shape, and I was going to get my bikini body back.

So when I first needed to do was pick up a guide. A guide that would help me do this as easily as possible. And that was how I heard about the Itsines BBG workout. It sounds good right? A woman who looks as fit as Kayla teaching you exactly what she did to get the body that she has? How can I possibly resist!

For those who don’t know above is Kayla Itsines in all her bikini body glory (BBG hah get it?). She is an instant grandma, and runs a very successful workout program. It is because of her credits, and in Australia as a fitness teacher, that I decided to trust her with my figure.

I’m not going to lie to you. My second child was the one where I really started to pack on the pounds. I’m 5’4 and weighed in at 175 before I decided to commit to the bikini body guide.

Picking a good weight loss plan is the first in making sure that you have a successful weight loss journey. The worst thing you can do is pick one that involves a drastic change in your lifestyle and eating habits, because you’ll likely just end up with a yo-yo diet (meaning that you started and then you binged and then you end up in a worse off or the same position as you were before).

My solution to this was to start the battle tested and proven Kayla itsines Guides.

So my first problem with the BBG (Bikini Body Guide) is the price for everything when all is said and done:

And then there is the additional stuff that you don’t have to buy, but of course she recommends – such as a fitbit heart rate monitors/fitness tracker. Who the hell has money for all of this? Not me, that’s who.

Even her nutritional guide isn’t all that. The foods are super expensive, and she promotes low calorie diet that is so low that you probably end up doing the yo-yo diet as I said before.
To sum up my thoughts in this review: I don’t think that the bikini body guide is worked on this money.

Especially we start talking about the Kayla Itsines BBG alternatives.

That’s a 55 pound difference. And yes, I tell people it’s just 35. Was it hard? Of course. There moments with all workouts and all diet plans where you’re just like “Do I really need this?”. But I’ll say that Jen made it easy for me to stay on track.

A nutritional guide so I know that all the food that I have in the pantry and in the freezer are healthy, even if I decide to go a little over my designated eating?

Instructional videos to keep me from making a fool of myself while doing a new exercise?

An affordable price?!

Today I feel more energetic and healthy that I have the past decade. Eating and exercising right not only improves your physical health, but your mental health as well. I’m no longer plagued by stress, and I even seem better at thinking on my feet.


Now, I know this Kayla Itsines bikini body guide review might not be what you were expecting, but I just had a get it off my chest and share what I really think about the program. In a weird way, thanks to this program, I was able to find the cheaper alternative that lead me to making the strongest transformation of my life.

In short: BBG, not so great. Bikini Body Workouts? Yes, ABSOLUTELY!
